Scan a vocabulary list
Point the camera at the list. Terpe finds the words and their meanings, even in two columns, and marks anything it isn’t sure it read right.
Terpe turns a photo of a vocabulary list, a glossary or a fact box into flashcards on your iPhone or iPad, then helps you learn them with spaced repetition, tests and a quick matching game.

The box with the key terms on a textbook page becomes cards too, word for word as printed. The rest of the page is left alone.
Paste a list or open an export from Quizlet or Anki. Your sets come along as they are.
Flip through the deck. Swipe away the ones you know and go round again with the rest.
Spaced repetition: each card comes back just before you’d forget it. Multiple choice first, then you type it.
A practice test with a score at the end, and one tap to practise what you got wrong.
Pair words and meanings against the clock. Each deck remembers its record.
Terpe reads the photo on your device, and your decks sync between your iPhone and iPad through your own iCloud, never through a server of ours. No account, no ads and no tracking.
Terpe costs $1.99, once. Every study mode is included, with no account, no ads and nothing uploaded.
That’s all it ever costs. Every future update is included, and so are the extra app icons. Nothing to unlock later, and if something’s wrong, you write straight to Peter, who made it.
No, on purpose. Terpe makes cards from vocabulary lists, glossaries and fact boxes: text that already is cards. It doesn’t invent questions from ordinary pages. You can always write cards yourself.
Any language your iPhone can read, from Danish, German and Spanish to Japanese and Korean. Terpe reads each side aloud in its own language.
Learn uses FSRS, a modern spaced repetition method: a card comes back just before you’re likely to forget it. New cards start as multiple choice; once they stick, you type the answer.

No. Everything, including reading the photo, happens on your device, and there’s no account. With iCloud sync on, your decks travel between your devices through your own iCloud; you can turn it off in Settings.
